This video by Chik-fil-A reminds me of our hearts and how important it is to consider the hearts and stories of all of those that we meet.
There is a scripture that says, “Man looks at the outside, but God looks at the heart.”
It’s always intrigued me. A book includes its cover.
I have spent my life trying to truly understand, “What is the heart?” I’ve looked at it as a language. What is its vocabulary, what is its structure/rules for fluency, how do I interact with it? How do I take it into account in my decisions and life? How does it reflect in different circumstances? What is it, really?
I think our hearts are expressed as our story. Everyone has a story.
I constantly ask myself, “Am I curious and have I created space for those stories to be included in the equation of connection?”
I challenge you to consider those things today.
